A venue, not a field
Everything is already here. You just bring the people.
Most woodland weddings are dry hire. You rent a piece of land, then spend nine months sourcing a tent, a generator, loos, a bar, and someone to move it all again on Sunday morning.
We don’t do that. The tipis go up before you arrive and come down after you leave — ours to organise, and it is in the hire fee. The bar is built. Power, water and properly plumbed washrooms are already in the ground, and the paths are chipped and level enough for heels, wheelchairs and grandmothers.
What’s left is the part you actually wanted to plan: who sits where, what’s in the glasses, and which song plays as you walk out through the trees.

What a day in the forest actually looks like

You arrive to a woodland that is already yours
Suppliers are in from early morning. Florists dress the arch and the bar stocks up while you get ready above the glen and watch it happen below you.

The ceremony, under the oaks
A legal civil ceremony with a registrar present — no register office first. Celebrant, humanist and blessing ceremonies work here too. If it rains, the whole thing moves under canvas in fifteen minutes.

Drinks in the dappled bit
Fizz, canapés and lawn games in the adjoining field. Nobody queuing, nobody standing on tarmac.

Long tables under canvas
Reclaimed oak trestles and festoon lighting under canvas. Your caterer, your menu, our kitchen and cold store.

Fire pits and a band
Music into the night, fire pits lit at dusk, and marshmallows that are frankly non-negotiable.

The fires burn down
Music stops at eleven and the fire pits burn down while people find their coats. Parking is inside the wood, so cars and taxis come to you rather than you walking out to a road.

The question nobody answers
Most venues make you email to find out the price. We just put it on the page.
Venue hire starts at £6,950 and runs to £17,950 for three hundred guests on a peak Saturday, structure included. Every figure is on the prices page. If we are out of your range you will know in thirty seconds rather than a fortnight. Ten bookings made during December take ten per cent off that, drawn at random, because we need photographs of real weddings more than we need full price to begin with.

Only the first line is ours. The rest are 2026 UK market averages, shown so you can build a real total rather than discovering it in stages.
A peak Saturday in July with a fuller menu comes to nearer £26,000. A midweek date in November, nearer £17,000. The date you choose is the biggest lever you have on the total, and it is the one nobody tells you about.
The thing almost nobody else can do
Most woodland venues stop at a hundred and fifty. We do not.
We went looking at every woodland, tipi and tent venue a couple would shortlist alongside us. Almost all of them cap out somewhere around a hundred and fifty seated, because that is the practical limit of canvas in a clearing — and the handful with the land for more will not publish a price for it.
Three hundred people can sit down here, and the number it costs is on the prices page. If you have a large family, a big circle, or a wedding that two cultures are coming to, that is not a small detail. It is usually the reason the search has been so difficult.

Deep in the Wyre Forest, twenty minutes from the motorway
We are on the Worcestershire side of the Wyre Forest — one of the largest surviving ancient woodlands in England. Near Bewdley, with Kidderminster the nearest town, Birmingham under an hour and the M5 and M42 both feeding in.
Guests can come from three directions in a morning, and still not hear a road once they are in the clearing.

The questions couples ask first
Can you legally get married outdoors in a wood?
Yes, here. The clearing holds a civil ceremony licence, so the legal marriage happens under the oaks with a registrar present and you do not need to visit a register office first. Not every woodland venue is licensed — many can only offer a blessing after a register office wedding — so it is worth asking any venue the question directly.
How much does a woodland wedding cost?
Venue hire here runs from £6,950 to £17,950 depending on the day, the season and the number of guests, and every figure is published on the prices page rather than hidden behind an enquiry form. Catering is separate and runs from about £15 a head for street food to £100 for three courses. Registrar fees are £575 to £700 and are paid to Worcestershire County Council.
How many guests can a woodland wedding venue hold?
Most woodland venues near here stop at a hundred and fifty. This one seats three hundred under the tent, or two hundred and fifty in the tipis, with the whole forty acres exclusively yours for the day.
Is this dry hire?
No. Dry hire means renting a piece of land and then hiring the structure, flooring, lighting, bar, washrooms, power and water separately, which is where woodland weddings usually go over budget. Here the tipis or tent, the bar, the plumbed washrooms, power, water, flooring and lighting are already in the hire fee. You bring the caterer and the people.
Where is the venue?
On the Worcestershire side of the Wyre Forest, near Bewdley. Kidderminster is the nearest mainline station, about fifteen minutes away with four trains an hour from Birmingham, and Birmingham city centre is roughly fifty minutes by road. Getting here and where to stay has the detail.
Can we look round before we book?
Yes — by appointment, seven days a week, evenings included. A viewing takes about an hour on foot and we only ever show one couple at a time, so the wood is empty apart from you. Book a viewing.
