A venue, not a field
Most tipi weddings begin with a field and a list of phone numbers
That is how tipi weddings usually work. You find a farmer with a paddock, then spend nine months hiring the tipis, the loos, the generator, the flooring, the bar and the people who take it all away on the Sunday. Every one of those is a separate contract, a separate delivery slot and a separate thing to go wrong.
Here the canvas is ours to organise. Tipis or a tent go up in the clearing before you arrive and come down after you have gone, and the cost of that sits inside the hire fee rather than on top of it. The bar is built, the washrooms are plumbed, and power and water are already in the ground.
What is left for you is the part you actually wanted to think about: who is coming, what they eat, and what is playing when you walk in.
The two ways to do it
Tipis or a tent
Both sit in the same clearing and both come with the same site. The difference is the shape of the room and the way it feels once the sun goes down.
Giant tipis
Open fires, high peaks, no straight lines
Linked hat tipis, sides lifted in summer and dropped and heated in winter. They take a central fire, the poles catch festoon light properly, and they look like they grew out of the wood rather than landed on it. Best for a long, loose evening.

A tent
More covers, and easier in winter
A floored, sided structure that seats more people per square metre than canvas peaks do, takes heating cleanly, and is the sensible answer for a large guest list or a date in the middle of winter.

The question everyone asks
It is going to rain at some point. That is the whole reason the canvas is here.
An outdoor wedding in England is not a gamble on the weather; it is a plan that accounts for it. The ceremony happens under the oaks if the day is kind. If it is not, the whole thing moves under cover in about fifteen minutes and nobody eats standing up in a shower.
That is the practical case for canvas over a pretty clearing on its own: you get the woodland when the weather allows it and a proper room when it does not, on the same site, with no coaches and no second venue.

How many people fit under the canvas?
Three hundred on site. Sitting down to eat, that is 300 in the tent or 250 in the tipis, because the tent takes more covers in the same footprint.
Do we have to hire the tipis ourselves?
No. We organise the structure and it is inside the hire fee. You are not managing a tent contract on top of everything else.
Can we get married under the canvas, or only outdoors?
The ceremony clearing is licensed for legal civil ceremonies. Celebrant, humanist and blessing ceremonies work anywhere on site. Ask us whether the licence extends under the canvas as well — it decides whether a wet ceremony moves the whole thing or only the chairs.
Do you close in winter?
Yes. We run all year and heating is included. The sides drop, the heaters go on, and a December wedding here is a genuinely different thing rather than a compromised summer one.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Yes. Your caterer, your menu; the kitchen and cold store are here. Ask us about corkage and any restrictions before you buy anything.
How late can we go?
Music stops at eleven and the fire pits burn down after that. Ask us about the sound limit.
Where do people stay?
There is no camping on site, and it matters less than people expect. Music stops at eleven and everyone is away shortly after: parking is inside the wood a short walk from the canvas, so anyone who drove goes to their own car rather than out to a road in the dark. If you would rather your guests drank, a coach back into Bewdley or Kidderminster takes the question away entirely — one vehicle, one pick-up, and there is room for a coach at the gate. Between the two towns there are hotels, inns and holiday cottages; put two or three suggestions in with the invitations and it stops coming back to you.

Venue hire starts at £6,950 and we publish the numbers rather than making you ask for them.
